AI memory

Useful context, without making you repeat yourself.

Save selected preferences, goals, constraints, routines and durable facts you explicitly share. Active memories can give future conversations relevant context.

AI memory can be incomplete, incorrect or outdated. Review what is stored before relying on it.

What belongs in memory

Save context that should outlive one chat.

A useful memory is explicit, stable enough to matter later and relevant to how you want the agent to work with you.

Preferences

Units, terminology, timing or a way you prefer information presented.

Routines and constraints

Longer-lived scheduling context or a practical limit you explicitly share.

Goals and stable facts

Context that can reduce repetition in a future conversation.

Daily record

“I walked for 30 minutes today.”

A meal, activity, habit or routine completion belongs to the dated journal. It describes something that happened at a particular time.

  • Appears in the relevant day or feature view
  • Can contribute to supported summaries and goals
  • Does not need to shape every future conversation

Durable memory

“I prefer metric units.”

A memory is reusable context. When active and relevant, it can help the agent work with you without asking for the same preference again.

  • Represents an explicit, longer-lived statement
  • Can be reviewed separately from daily records
  • Can be forgotten and saved again

Memory lifecycle

Context changes. Memory needs controls.

Saving is only the beginning of a useful memory.

01State it clearly

Tell the agent what you want remembered.

02Check what was saved

Review the content and status in Memories.

03Reuse when relevant

Active memories can inform later conversations.

04Forget and replace

Remove old context from active use and save the correction.

Your controls

Inspect what the agent may reuse.

A memory should remain active only while it accurately reflects the context you want KnowsYou to use.

Inspect

Review active and candidate items instead of assuming the wording is right.

Replace

Forget the outdated item, then explicitly save the corrected statement.

Forget

Use Forget or ask the agent to remove an item from active memory.

What forgetting currently means

Forgetting removes the item from active use, so it is no longer supplied as active context. KnowsYou retains an audit record rather than promising immediate physical erasure. Read how service and account data are handled in Privacy and Data & security.

A context aid

Memory is not a source of medical truth.

A remembered statement does not become verified. Do not use memory as proof of a diagnosis, dose, treatment change, lab interpretation or clinician instruction.

Sensitive information

Share only what belongs in your account.

Conversations and saved context can contain personal information. Review your data controls and avoid adding information you do not want processed by the service.

Keep useful context. Review what stays.

Save one stable preference, inspect it in Memories and replace it when your context changes.
