Android and web
Install KnowsYou
Two ways in: the Android app from Google Play, or the web app in any browser. Both use the same account and the same records — start with whichever is easier, you can add the other later.
KnowsYou is free while in beta.
Create your account wherever you like — in the app itself, or here in a browser — with any email address or with Google. It is the same account and the same records either way. No card, at any point — what happens after the beta is written down in advance.
Android
Installing the app
It takes about a minute, and Google Play handles the whole thing — no warnings to click through, and updates arrive on their own from here on.
- Open the Play listing on the phone. Tap Get it on Google Play above, or search for KnowsYou in the Play Store app.
- Tap Install. Around 70 MB; it needs a 64-bit Android phone, roughly anything from 2017 onwards.
- Create your account, or sign in.Both happen on the app's first screen — tap Create account, or continue with Google — and you land straight in the conversation. If you already made an account here in a browser, sign in with the same address.
Updates come from Play automatically. Smaller fixes arrive in the background and run the next time you open the app.
Android refuses to replace an app installed from a browser with one from Google Play — the signatures differ, so Play will simply not offer the install. Uninstall the old KnowsYou first, then install from Play. Nothing is lost: your records live on the server, and signing back in brings all of them with you.
