Delete your account
You can delete your KnowsYou account yourself, from inside the app, at any time. It takes effect immediately and it cannot be undone.
In the app
Settings → Profile → Delete account
The same place on the website and in the Android app.
- Open Settings, then the Profile tab.
- Under Delete account, type the email address of your account to confirm.
- Press Delete everything. You are signed out straight away, and an email confirms it.
If you cannot sign in, write to privacy@knowsyou.ai from the address on the account and we will delete it for you.
What goes
Everything the account held
Deletion is not a deactivation. Nothing is kept behind a flag for later.
Meals and photos, habits, workouts and activities, treatments and doses, lab results and uploaded documents, body metrics, check-ins, goals, what the assistant remembered about you, and the entire conversation — with the account itself, its sign-in credentials and any API key.
Encrypted database backups are not edited when an account is deleted — rewriting history to remove one person is not something a backup can safely do. They expire instead: within 30 days the last backup containing your data is gone. Until then they stay encrypted, and nothing is read from them except to recover from a failure.
Other requests
A copy, a correction, or a question
Deleting everything is not the only option, and it is rarely the one people actually want.
Individual records can be corrected or removed inside the app, conversationally or by editing them. To stop the notifications without losing anything, pause them under Settings → Notifications. For a copy of your data, or anything else covered by the Privacy Policy, write to privacy@knowsyou.ai.
