Plain-language terms for KnowsYou.

1. Status of these terms

These terms govern the use of KnowsYou and, from 29 October 2026, the subscriptions sold for it. They are presented at account creation, and creating an account is how they are accepted. A visit to this page alone is not. The service is operated and sold by Terra Cycle S.R.L., a company registered in Romania (trade register no. J2017000856137, fiscal code RO37298322), with its registered office at Aleea Ghiocelului 7, Eforie Nord, Eforie, Constanța, România.

KnowsYou was free during its beta, with a promise of at least 15 days' notice before any paid plan. This version was published on 14 October 2026 as that notice. The beta stays free until 28 October 2026, and sections 9 to 15 apply from 29 October 2026. Creating an account does not commit you to a subscription. Paying is always a separate step that you take (see pricing).

KnowsYou is intended for adults aged 18 or older. Do not create an account for another person or place another person's sensitive information in your account without a lawful basis and their appropriate permission.

2. What KnowsYou is

KnowsYou is a conversation-first general-wellness journal. It helps capture and organize meals, activities, habits, goals, treatment routines, uploaded documents and context you choose to provide.

KnowsYou is not a medical device and does not provide medical care. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, prevent or monitor a disease or medical condition, prescribe treatment, determine a dose, verify that treatment was taken correctly or replace a qualified professional.

It is not for emergencies or continuous clinical monitoring. Contact local emergency services immediately if you think you may have a medical emergency.

3. Your account

You are responsible for accurate account information, keeping credentials and devices secure and notifying the team if you believe the account has been accessed without permission. You are also responsible for reviewing important records created through your account.

The interface is available in English, German, Polish, Romanian, French, Italian, Dutch, Spanish, European Portuguese, Greek, Slovak, Finnish, Croatian, Slovenian and Bulgarian, chosen in Settings. The agent can converse in a preferred language, but quality can vary by language, input and subject.

4. Your content and permission to process it

You keep any rights you have in the messages, files, images, audio and other content you submit. You give the service the permission needed to host, process, transmit, transform and display that content only to operate, secure and support KnowsYou as described in the privacy notice.

Only submit content you have the right to use. Do not upload unlawful material, another person's confidential records without appropriate permission, malware or content intended to compromise the service.

5. AI output, estimates and corrections

The agent can misunderstand a message, image, document or instruction. Meal portions, calories, nutrients, energy expenditure, goal progress and connected-device values can be incomplete, outdated or wrong. A confident tone or detailed-looking number does not make an output accurate.

Review information that matters and correct the saved record when needed. Do not use an AI answer or estimate to make a medical decision. The current calculation explanations are available in Methods.

6. Treatment routines and health documents

Treatment routines reflect a schedule you enter or confirm. KnowsYou does not prescribe the treatment, verify its suitability or advise what to do about a missed or conflicting dose. Follow the instructions provided by your clinician or pharmacist.

Extracted document information must be checked against the source. The service can organize and restate clinician-provided information, but it does not independently validate or replace that clinician's interpretation.

7. Connected services

Connecting WHOOP or another supported service is optional and subject to that provider's terms and permissions. A provider can change, restrict or discontinue access. KnowsYou is not responsible for the provider's service or methodology.

Disconnecting a service stops future access through that connection but does not automatically erase records already imported into KnowsYou.

8. Acceptable use

You must not:

• use KnowsYou for emergency response, clinical monitoring or decisions for which it is not designed;
• attempt to access another account or bypass security, permissions, rate limits or safeguards;
• reverse engineer or interfere with the service except where applicable law expressly permits it;
• use the service to create unlawful, deceptive or harmful activity; or
• overload, scrape or automate the service in a way that harms it or other users.

9. The free trial

From 29 October 2026, every account without a subscription gets one free trial of 7 days. This includes accounts created during the beta. The trial starts the first time you use the assistant on or after that date, with a message, a photo or a voice note, and ends exactly 7 days later. Opening the app, reading your records or changing settings does not start it.

The trial needs no card and creates no obligation to pay. It does not turn into a subscription by itself, and nothing is charged when it ends. An account that has already had a subscription does not get another trial.

If you buy a subscription during the trial, the paid period starts when you buy. The trial days you have not used are not added to it.

After the trial, the assistant needs a subscription. That covers chat, photos, voice, the check-ins and reports the assistant sends, and changes to your journal made through agent access. Without a subscription you can still sign in, read your records and history, export them, edit or delete records yourself, read your journal through agent access and delete your account.

10. Subscriptions and prices

A subscription gives access to all of KnowsYou, the assistant included, for the period you pay for. There is one plan, which you pay monthly or yearly:

• monthly: €12.99, $12.99 or 59.99 lei per month;
• yearly: €79.99, $79.99 or 399.99 lei per year, charged as one payment.

Prices include VAT where it applies (section 11). Every account, paying or not, is subject to a daily usage cap that stops abuse and software loops. Ordinary use stays far below it.

Early-user price. An account created before 14 October 2026 that buys a subscription on or before 28 November 2026 pays less. Monthly costs €9.99, $9.99 or 49.99 lei per month for the first 12 monthly payments, then the standard monthly price above. Yearly costs €59.99, $59.99 or 299.99 lei for the first year, then the standard yearly price above. The early-user price is applied automatically at checkout to an account that qualifies, and each person can use it once. It does not apply to a subscription bought after 28 November 2026, including a new subscription after an earlier one has ended.

11. Buying, payment, taxes and invoices

Subscriptions are sold only on the web, in the KnowsYou web app under Settings → Subscription. The Android app does not sell subscriptions. A subscription bought on the web applies to the same account in the app.

You pay by card (Visa, Mastercard and other major cards) on a payment page run by Stripe, which processes the payment. KnowsYou never sees your full card number. You choose the currency when you buy: euro, US dollar or Romanian leu. With a Romanian billing address, choose lei.

Prices include VAT where it applies. A customer in the European Union pays the VAT rate of their own country, already included in the price. No tax is added for customers in the United States.

The seller and issuer of every invoice is Terra Cycle S.R.L., trade register no. J2017000856137, VAT number RO37298322, Aleea Ghiocelului nr. 7, Eforie Nord 905350, Constanța County, Romania, hello@knowsyou.ai. Each payment gets an invoice numbered KY-…, which Stripe sends by email on behalf of Terra Cycle S.R.L.

12. Renewal, cancellation and failed payments

A subscription renews automatically at the end of each period, monthly or yearly, and the card on file is charged for the next period at the price the subscription was bought at (section 13).

You can cancel at any time, under Settings → Subscription → Manage subscription, on the cancellation page app.knowsyou.ai/cancel, or by email to hello@knowsyou.ai. Cancelling stops the next renewal, and your records stay in your account.

Monthly plan, and the first year of a yearly plan. These are fixed periods. After you cancel you keep access until the end of the period already paid for, and the subscription simply does not renew. Apart from the right of withdrawal (section 14) and your statutory rights, the unused part of the period is not refunded.

A yearly plan after its first year. It still renews automatically for a year at a time, but from the first renewal on you can cancel at any time during the year. The subscription then ends at the end of the month in progress, and we refund the whole months of that year that have not begun yet, each at one twelfth of the yearly price you paid. The refund goes to the payment method you used, within 14 days of receiving your cancellation.

If a renewal payment fails, the assistant keeps working for 3 days while the payment is retried. After that it pauses until the payment goes through. Your records stay available the whole time, and you can update the card under Manage subscription.

Deleting your account ends a running subscription at once and refunds nothing by itself. If you want to withdraw (section 14) or get back the unused months of a renewed yearly subscription, do that before deleting the account.

13. Price changes

A subscription keeps the price it was bought at for as long as it runs, renewals included. If we change our prices, the new prices apply to new purchases only. When an early-user price ends after the period in section 10, renewals continue at the standard price that applied when you bought.

14. Right of withdrawal

If you are a consumer, you have the right to withdraw from a subscription contract within 14 days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period ends 14 days after the day the contract is concluded, which is the day you buy.

To withdraw, tell Terra Cycle S.R.L. (Aleea Ghiocelului nr. 7, Eforie Nord 905350, Constanța County, Romania, hello@knowsyou.ai) of your decision with a clear statement. The quickest way is the withdrawal function at app.knowsyou.ai/withdraw, the button "Withdraw from contract here". You can also write to hello@knowsyou.ai, send a letter, or use the model withdrawal form in section 15, which is not obligatory. It is enough to send your statement before the 14 days are over.

Immediate start. When you buy, you ask at checkout for the service to start during the withdrawal period, and it starts as soon as you have paid. If you then withdraw, you pay an amount proportional to the days of service provided until you told us of your withdrawal, compared with the full period of the contract (Article 14(3) of Directive 2011/83/EU).

Refund. We refund everything you paid for the contract, minus that proportional amount, without undue delay and at the latest within 14 days of the day we receive your withdrawal. We use the same payment method you used to pay, unless you expressly agree to something else, and you pay no fee for the refund.

Withdrawing ends the subscription. It does not delete your account or your records. The free trial is not a purchase, so it needs no withdrawal. It simply ends.

16. Availability and changes

We work to keep KnowsYou available and working as described. It can still have interruptions or errors, lose access to a third-party integration, and change as the product develops. Features described as Next or Exploring on the roadmap are not promised and have no guaranteed delivery date.

We can restrict access when reasonably necessary to protect the service, investigate abuse or comply with law. If a change to the service affects your access to or use of a paid subscription more than minimally, we tell you beforehand, and as a consumer you can end the subscription free of charge within 30 days of the change. The part already paid for the remaining period is then refunded. If these terms change, the published date above changes with them.

17. Closing an account and data requests

You can delete your account and everything in it yourself, at any time, under Settings → Profile → Delete account, in the app and on the web. This also ends a running subscription (section 12). How deletion works describes exactly what is removed. If you cannot sign in, or for access, correction and export requests, contact privacy@knowsyou.ai. Retention behavior is described in the privacy notice.

18. Legal guarantee and liability

KnowsYou is a digital service. If you are a consumer, the legal guarantee of conformity for digital services under the law of your country applies to it, and nothing in these terms limits that guarantee. If the service does not work as described, write to hello@knowsyou.ai.

Beyond that, and to the extent the law allows, KnowsYou is provided as available, without a promise that every answer or estimate will be accurate (section 5) or that the service will never be interrupted. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful.

19. Your law and complaints

If you are a consumer, nothing in these terms takes away the protection given to you by the mandatory law of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim before the courts of that country.

Complaints go to hello@knowsyou.ai. Consumers can also turn to the alternative dispute resolution service of the Romanian consumer protection authority, ANPC SAL, at anpc.ro/en/sal.
